Skipgaps

Logo, Brand Identity

Skipgaps started as a personal project. A collaborative idea with a few coworkers, all of us excited about building a creative agency.

We spent quite a bit of time on the name. Eventually we landed on Skipgaps. The idea was simple. Help clients skip the gaps and move their projects forward.

From there, I built the identity.

The logo is a wordmark with a small twist. An inverted “i” that reads as an exclamation mark. It felt like enough on its own, something memorable without needing any extra symbols.

The color palette follows a familiar direction, but with a slight shift. Black and yellow felt right, but also a bit overused. So instead of pure black, I went with a dark, muted brown. Close enough to feel strong, different enough to stand out.

In the end, we all went in different directions and the agency never took off. But I still like this project. Even now, it feels like a solid idea that almost happened.
