Book review #1: Logo Design Love by David Airey
Guide to creating iconic brand identities
A must have book for every graphic designer, even more important for those who specialise in logo design or similar niche.
It was my first book which I read about graphic design. I actually never had a real copy of it, I bought it via Amazon as Kindle version, because it was best way for me to get this book, due to me being from Lithuania.
Reasons why to read the book
I chose to buy it, because of great reviews that I read over Amazon. I must say they were totally true, I read this whole book in 3-4 days, it was very quick read, the book is easy to read, even for me, when my main language isn't English.
This book is written by David Airey (an amazing person by the way) a graphic designer who specialises in brand identity design. I been inspired by his book, then I was inspired and motivated by him. Because of the book and it's author I started learning graphic design on my own, I believed in myself, then I started my own freelancing business, opened my portfolio website, etc... All began due to this book and due to it's great author - David Airey, who helped a lot through my path and still does help from time to time.
- In this book you will learn all the main steps you need to take in projects and how to complete them fully.
- You will learn how to avoid biggest mistakes which David Airey made through his path too.
- It's not only about logo design, many things you'll learn can be used in another projects too, it's super useful book for designer to read.
I read it twice actually, to make sure I didn't missed anything from it, it's not a long book, but everything is in clear and simple sentences, also includes other great designers examples.
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this short and quick review about a book Logo Design Love.
